Over the last few years, Academy member Vajra Sheng-Yuan has endeavoured to host at least one charity concert annually, using his passion--msuic-- to raise funds for disadvantaged children and communities. On Sunday 26 February, he hosted a charity piano concert for the Cancer Council Tasmania.
Playing pieces from famous Hungarian composer, Franz Liszt, Vajra Sheng-Yuan played to a captivated audience of over 150 people at the Hobart Town Hall. The concert was also livestreamed to ensure fans and friends across the globe could tune into his concert.
To the end of the concert, Vajra Sheng-Yuan raised a total of $28,068.00 for the Cancer Council Tasmania, and presented the cheque to Penny Egan, CEO of the Cancer Council Tasmania, as well as Jill Bannon from CCT.
