On 11 March, 23 students from the Chinese Students and Scholars Association Tasmanian Branch visited the Two Guardian Stone Lions and Four Great Heavenly Devas. Many of the students are currently still studying at the University of Tasmania.
It was wonderful to see how engaged the students were as they learnt about the importance of each statue, and the significance that the proposed Tasmanian Chinese Cultural Park of Australia would have on the promotion of Chinese culture in Tasmania. They were all also very eager to touch the statues, as it is believed that by touching the statues and forming the spiritual connection with them, that more good fortune, good luck and wisdom will be gained.
