The Chinese Community Association of Tasmania held its Chinese New Year Dinner on 22 February 2018, at the new signature Asian restaurant, Kwan Ho, within the Wrest Point complex; many politicians, community leaders, business leaders, as well as their family and friends attended.
During the evening, 97 year-old Charles Chung - founder and first president of CCAT - was especially recognised for his "Distinguished Service to the Chinese Community Association of Tasmania". His relative and also past president of CCAT, Peter Chung, was also recognised for his services to CCAT that spanned more than three decades. Congratulations to both Charles and Peter, for being a role model, showing how generations to follow should help the promotion of Chinese culture in the western society.
